Dreamweaver 8
Friday 04th May
Hi Folks
I want to add a URL link to a button. Quite easy to do I can
add it to the
link in the properties BUT I want it to open in a new browser
OR I can
create a behaviour which does what I want except:-
When you hover your mouse over a button which is going to
take you somewhere
the little handle normally appears indicating that is what is
going to
happen however this does not happen when I do it this way.
Does anyone know how to achieve opening another site in a new
window and
still have the little hand appear ?
Regards
Cliff

Add URL to button
Show us the code you are using when the little handle (what
are you
describing here?) doesn't appear, please.

Add URL to button
Not sure I understand. You want to have a BUTTON that, when
clicked,
goes to another page/site. But - when users point to the
button, their
cursor does not turn into a hand (it remains an arrow) and
you want it
to be a hand? Is that correct?

And I assume the button is not a button, but actually an
image of a button?
I'd assume it IS a non-image button. If it's an image, adding
a
hyperlink would produce the hand icon on rollover. A regular
input
field/form button would not.

Not if the event handler is in the %26lt;img%26gt; tag as often
happens with
inexperienced DW users -
%26lt;img onmouseover=''MM_....
