I'm getting a totally unhelpful ''an error occurred'' error msg

I'm not finding good guidelines for importing from Adobe.
Further, I'm not happy with the loss of Image Ready, which
was
a simple tool to do rollovers, etc from Photoshop.
Can anyone supply some things to watch for in terms of
creating
PSD files for use in Fireworks?

Can you upload the file and post a link? Did you create the
file in PS
or was it supplied to you? If you created it, consider
creating your web
files in Fireworks to begin with. Unlike IR, it's not just a
post-production slicing tool. There are many web-centric
fetures in FW
that can speed up your workflow for web and screen destined
projects.
Also in PS CS3, from what I understand, most of the useful IR
features
were integrated into PS.
