I have Dreamweaver version 8 at home, and MX at school. After
installing version 8 at home last night, and synchronizing it, I
tried to do the same today at school, but I'm getting an error that
says that Dreamweaver cannot determine the remote server

What do you mean by ''synchronizing'' it?
Are you referring to your site settings?
If so, what couldn't you do at school, install the program or
adjust your site settings properly?
