Spry version for MX2004?

Hi all -

Can I download and use a Spry version with MX2004?

Building a site for an author who's burying me with lengthy
text content

which I'd like to ''pleat'' with an accordian effect.

Anyone know of a non-spry alternative?

Thanks,

Not only is it a ''non-spry'' alternative, it's a better than
spry

alternative.

Nope. When I like a product, everyone will hear about it.

When I don't like a product, most everyone will hear about

that too.

Yeah, I could use some more info on this too.

Way less heavy. The Spry framework is a big bite. It's also
more

accessable, providing function even without javascript. Spry
falls down

without js.

There are a number of free libraries that do the same job,
they weigh

very little and can be made to be just as accessible. You
just have to

dive in the code - which is the fun part of this profession
anyway!

For the record, I think PVII extensions are great, but they
aren't the

only solution.

As you stated in a later post in this thread, we are good but
not the only

solution. Now, to answer your question in the best way I can
while trying to

remain professional, it is my opinion that our widgets are
more automated

and feature-rich, and our customer support has many more free
options,

including the good old telephone. As with all questions
regarding quality,

it is in the eye of the beholder - just like beauty and
design I guess. In

the final analysis, many people will make their choice based
on the demos

and live examples of ''exhibit A'' versus ''exhibit B''... and
that makes me

feel very confident, while someone else might have a totally
different

perspective based upon their experience and taste.

Well - yeah - it may function a little better than Adobe's
SPRY tech - but somehow ''free'' always seems better than $60_ And
Adobe is being curtious enough to relase ''BASIC'' modules for use to
use at our leisure_

Someone with a decent amount of knowledge around CSS - XHTML
- and JavaScript can take these basic SPRY Frameworks and go crazy
with them_ I'm rusty with JavaScript myself and so the SPRY stuff
is totally helping out witha current project [that has been back
and forth more times than a tennis match]

By the by - if you want the code for the projects from the
above link [aka - projectseven's website] merely goto the sample
pages and view the source code_ Otherwise spend the $60 and use
unoriginal templates_
