This is causing me a problem with dynamic text, which does
not appear in the
movie (Flash 8 Pro in Firefox/IE/Opera) when www is not used
in the address
bar (simondavies.info - Projects page).
Anybody?
Cheers

is that text being loaded externally? If so and you are using
an absolute
reference to that text (with the www in the url) it will
require a
crossdomain.xml policy file to load correctly. That, or use a
relative path
to the text file

To expand on what Trevor has said.
Although we as people see www.somedomain.com and
somedomain.com as the same place, they are quite different to
computers 鈥?not just flash. It is kind of like that spot the
differences between the pictures games we give to kids.
Clearly the two are equivalent, but they aren't equal!
So that is why you need a crossdomain policy file. Even
though they look the same to us they ARE different domains.
